You don't have to play golf to love it here.
Below the cliffs lie two beaches in their coves, and the shuttle trains take you down to them from reception. The resort is quiet for most of the year, and that is the point. Lock the door in September, come back in June, and everything works.
What it is not is a short-let business. If that is what you are looking for, these are not the right properties, and I would rather tell you now than after the notary.

Electricity and water are metered by the resort and billed once a year; you open no utility accounts. Property tax and waste fee are assessed individually for the new owner and discussed at the viewing.
The apartment's year costs about what five nights here cost as a guest.

That is the one complication people have usually heard about, and it does not apply here. The transaction is a standard notarised purchase; I walk you through every step, and the documents go to your lawyer whenever you ask.
Purchase costs come to about 4% of the price: the 3% local transfer tax, plus notary and registration fees. Roughly €2,350 on the small studio, €3,700 on the large studio and €5,700 on the apartment. Indicative figures; your notary confirms the exact amount.
The resort sits above the sea, below the village of Bozhurets, between Kavarna and Balchik: shops, restaurants and the marina at Balchik all ten minutes away. Varna airport connects across Europe year-round.
Out of season the coast is quiet, the course stays open, and the restaurants in town keep working.
